Giants' Wan'Dale Robinson done for season with torn ACL
New York Giants rookie wide receiver Wan'Dale Robinson suffered an ACL tear in his right knee during Sunday's 31-18 loss to the Detroit Lions, per head coach Brian Daboll.
Robinson will undergo season-ending surgery this week. After missing four games with an injury he suffered in Week 1, Robinson had begun to emerge as the Giants' No. 1 receiver. He had the best game of his career on Sunday, with 9 catches for 100 yards on 13 targets, before going down in the fourth quarter. With Sterling Shepard (ACL) and Collin Johnson (Achilles) already lost for the season, Daniel Jones will have to make the most of Darius Slayton, Kenny Golladay, Isaiah Hodgins, Marcus Johnson, Richie James, and David Sills moving forward. Saquon Barkley could see more pass-game work as well.
Robinson finishes his rookie season with 23 catches (31 targets) for 227 yards and a touchdown in six games. He led the Giants with a 32.5% target share in Week 11 and Slayton was second at 25.0% while every other wideout was below 10%.
