Cowboys' Tony Pollard (thigh) 'looks good' for Thursday night
Dallas Cowboys running back Tony Pollard (thigh) is expected to play on Thursday night against the Tennessee Titans, per Cowboys owner Jerry Jones.
Pollard is returning to practice on Tuesday after being listed as a non-participant on Monday's estimated injury report with a thigh issue. “He looks good for the game," Jones said. "We’re counting on him playing.” The Titans are allowing the fourth-most receptions per game to running backs this season, so Pollard could excel in the passing game. Malik Davis will share backfield work with Ezekiel Elliott if Pollard winds up being out Thursday night.
numberFire's models project Pollard for 10.9 carries, 2.0 receptions, and 67.1 yards from scrimmage on Thursday. The Titans have the No. 9 run defense and No. 26 pass defense in our adjusted team rankings for the season, offering a pass funnel for Pollard and the Cowboys to exploit.
