Ravens and Lamar Jackson agree to new five-year contract
The Baltimore Ravens and quarterback Lamar Jackson have agreed on a new five-year contract, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.
Things appeared to be at a standstill between the Ravens and their star quarterback for much of the early 2023 offseason, but the two sides have reportedly come together to agree on a new deal that will keep Jackson in Baltimore through the 2027 season. While at points it seemed like Jackson's time as a Raven was drawing to a close, he is now on track to suit up as their starting quarterback for the 2023 NFL season.
The Ravens have posted an impressive 45-16 record in the regular season with Jackson at the helm, and are now once again poised to compete for the AFC North title in 2023. With Jackson's presence now secured, the Ravens can now turn all of their attention to the 2023 NFL Draft.
