Rapoport: Patriots extend DeVante Parker on 3-year contract

Ian Rapoport reports that the New England Patriots have re-signed wide receiver DeVante Parker on a 3-year, $33 million contract.

What It Means:

Parker was entering the final year of his contract with the Patriots and the team has now secured his services for the next three seasons. Parker operated as the Pats' outside receiver during the 2022 season, running over 90% of his routes on the sidelines. It was a valuable enough role to their offensive plans that they signed him to a new $33 million contract, even if it wasn't an especially fantasy-friendly role.

Parker played in 13 games with the Pats last season, finishing the year with 31 catches for 539 yards and 3 touchdowns. The Patriots' offense rarely worked in 2022, but Parker did have two productive games when things lined up correctly for him. Two of his touchdowns came in the team's Week 17 loss to the Bills, and he and quarterback Mac Jones connected for over 150 yards against the Ravens in Week 3.
