Saints' Alvin Kamara pleads no contest to misdemeanor charge
New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor charge of breach of peace on Tuesday.
What It Means:
Kamara entered a plea of no contest on Tuesday to a misdemeanor charge of breach of peace stemming from his involvement in an incident in Las Vegas in 2022. As a result, Kamara will do 30 hours of community service and pay the alleged victim in the fight $105,000 for medical bills. After accepting the plea deal, he is no longer facing felony charges. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, an NFL spokesman said "We have been closely monitoring all developments in the matter which remains under review.". Kamara could still be subject to discipline from the league.
