Colts to be cautious with Michael Pittman Jr. (hip) return

Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. will be eased back into work after he was sidelined with a hip injury earlier this offseason, per head coach Shane Steichen.

What It Means:

Pittman said he fully recovered, but the Colts want to be cautious with their top wideout. There isn't any concern about his status for Week 1 against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Pittman led the Colts last season with 99 receptions for 925 yards and 4 touchdowns on 141 targets. He drew at least 50 more targets than any of his teammates in each of the last two seasons.

Pittman is the WR34 in numberFire's preseason rankings. Our models project him for 131.5 targets, 83.3 receptions, 945.7 yards, and 4.53 touchdowns in 2023.
