Houston's C.J. Stroud sharing first team quarterbacks snaps with Davis Mills
Houston Texas quarterback C.J. Stroud has rotated first team reps with Davis Mills through training camp.
What It Means:
According to head coach DeMeco Ryans, the Texans have yet to name their starting quarterback and will pick "the best guy" to lead Houston "in a proper way." Expect the second overall pick to eventually take control under center by end of preseason if he can continue to show understanding of Houston's offense.
Per numberFire's models, Stroud currently ranks as our QB30 with projections including 344.6 completions for 21.2 touchdowns and 3,459.6 yards and 63.5 rushing attempts for 304.4 yards and 2.0 touchdowns.
