Darren Waller the 'favorite target already' at Giants camp

New York Giants tight end Darren Waller has been the No. 1 target at training camp, per Shaun O'Hara of NFL Network.

What It Means:

"He's been Daniel Jones' favorite target already in training camp," O'Hara said. Waller, who was acquired from the Las Vegas Raiders in March, is immediately making a strong impact on offense. According to Dan Duggan of The Athletic, Waller has been unguardable at practice as the Giants scheme up consistent mismatches for the talented tight end to exploit. The Giants have arguably the worst wide receiver group in the league, so Waller should be able to dominate targets in 2023.

Waller is the TE7 in numberFire's preseason rankings and our models project him for 100.1 targets, 67.6 receptions, 730.5 yards, and 4.09 touchdowns. He was limited to 388 yards and 3 touchdowns, on 28 catches and 43 targets, in nine games last year due to injury.
