Jaguars' Calvin Ridley injured toe due to cleats
Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Calvin Ridley suffered a minor toe injury due to the cleats he was wearing.
Ridley was limited at practice, but he switched cleats and is expected to be fine. Prior to the toe issue, Ridley was lighting up practice and earning rave reviews from his new teammates and coaches. The 2018 first-round pick hasn't played since Week 6 of 2022 because he violated the NFL's gambling policy, but if there isn't any rust, he has the talent to emerge as Trevor Lawrence's favorite target in the Jaguars' offense.
Ridley is the WR19 in numberFire's preseason rankings. Our models project him for 137.0 targets, 86.8 receptions, 1,082.3 yards, and 7.39 touchdowns. In his last full season while with the Atlanta Falcons, Ridley caught 90 passes for 1,374 yards and 9 scores.
