Kareem Hunt visiting Colts Wednesday
Free agent running back Kareem Hunt is visiting the Indianapolis Colts on Wednesday.
Hunt was reportedly expected to sign with the New Orleans Saints after his visit on Tuesday, but the Colts are now firmly in the mix. According to Dianna Russini of ESPN, the Colts called Hunt before his visit with the Saints and offered him more money. Alvin Kamara is suspended for the first three games of the season, but Jonathan Taylor (contract/ankle) and Zack Moss (arm) are uncertain for Week 1 and beyond, so the Colts may feel a higher sense of urgency to make a move. The Saints also have Jamaal Williams and third-round rookie Kendre Miller behind Kamara while Indianapolis currently has Deon Jackson available and not much else.
Hunt rushed 123 times for 468 yards and 3 touchdowns, with 35 catches on 44 targets for 210 yards and 1 touchdown, for the Cleveland Browns last season. He set career-lows in yards per carry (3.8) and yards per target (4.8).
