Saints' Kendre Miller diagnosed with minor knee sprain
New Orleans Saints rookie running back Kendre Miller was diagnosed with a minor knee sprain on Monday.
Miller suffered the sprain in Sunday's preseason game and is expected to miss a week or two. The third-round pick might not play again in the preseason, but he should be available for Week 1 against the Tennessee Titans. However, with Alvin Kamara suspended for the first three games of the year, Miller's injury may encourage the Saints to sign Kareem Hunt or another free agent to help out behind Jamaal Williams. Hunt reportedly had a positive meeting with the Saints last week.
Miller is the RB64 in numberFire's preseason rankings. Our models project him for 71.0 carries and 300.5 rushing yards, with 13.8 targets for 10.0 catches and 71.9 receiving yards. Kamara (RB30) is projected for 179.9 carres and 44.8 targets while Williams (RB36) is forecasted for 151.2 rush attempts and 12.8 targets.
