Rams' Cooper Kupp (hamstring) day-to-day after setback
Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Cooper Kupp suffered a setback with his hamstring injury and is considered day-to-day, according to head coach Sean McVay.
Kupp returned to practice last week after initially injuring his hamstring on August 1. He was on track to play in the opener against the Seattle Seahawks, but it now sounds like Kupp is uncertain for the start of the season. Van Jefferson, Ben Skowronek, and Puka Nacua will all be in line for more work if Kupp is unavailable. Cam Akers could also play a larger role in the offense without Kupp.
Operating under the assumption that Kupp is available all season, he's currently the WR4 in numberFire's preseason rankings. Our models project him for 161.2 targets, 113.2 receptions, 1,441.0 yards, and 10.40 touchdowns. In eight healthy games last season, Kupp averaged 20.3 FanDuel points per contest, with 11.6 targets for 9.0 receptions and 101.6 yards, while totaling 7 touchdowns.
