David Montgomery diagnosed with bruised thigh, will be reevaluted by Lions Monday
Detroit Lions running back David Montgomery has a bruised thigh, head coach Dan Campbell announced.
Montgomery was carted to the locker room late in Sunday's loss to Seattle after appearing to have his leg twisted. The early diagnosis is a bruised thigh, which seems to be the best-case outcome. However, Campbell said they'll know more on Monday, so keep an eye out for updates on the veteran's status. Jahmyr Gibbs and Craig Reynolds split time once Montgomery left.
Montgomery finished Week 2 with 16 carries for 67 yards and a touchdown. He also hauled in his only target for 7 yards, posting 11.9 FanDuel points.
