Dolphins' Jaylen Waddle placed in concussion protocol
Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jaylen Waddle is in concussion protocol.
Waddle suffered the concussion on an illegal helmet-to-helmet hit in Sunday night's 24-17 win over the New England Patriots. He will be available for Week 3 against the Denver Broncos if Waddle can clear the NFL's five-step concussion protocol. Waddle caught 4 passes on 6 targets for 86 yards in Week 2 before exiting early.
Waddle is averaging 10.4 FanDuel points through two games, with 8 catches on 11 targets for 164 yards. Tyreek Hill is commanding a gargantuan 34.1% target share from Tua Tagovailoa while Waddle is only at 11.4%, down from 20.8% last year. Braxton Berrios, River Cracraft, and Durham Smythe should see more snaps and targets if Waddle winds up being ruled out for Week 3.
