Austin Ekeler (ankle) back at Chargers practice Wednesday
Los Angeles Chargers running back Austin Ekeler (ankle) returned to practice on Wednesday.
Ekeler may only be practicing in a limited capacity after sitting out the past two games, but it tentatively puts him on track to return for Sunday's matchup with the Las Vegas Raiders. Joshua Kelley will revert to a complementary role if Ekeler is cleared to play. Ekeler only out-snapped Kelley 41-34 in the opener, but he still handled 20 touches and produced 164 yards with a touchdown.
Ekeler scored 24.4 FanDuel points in Week 1 before sitting out the last two matchups with an ankle injury. Kelley finished with 15.1 FanDuel points on 16 carries and 34 snaps. The Raiders' run defense is 20th so far this season, based on our opponent-adjusted NEP model, and they allow the seventh-most FanDuel points per game to opposing running backs.
