Elijah Mitchell (knee) inactive for 49ers in Week 4
The San Francisco 49ers have ruled out running back Elijah Mitchell for Sunday's Week 4 game against the Arizona Cardinals.
Mitchell will rest up in Week 4 as he recovers from a knee injury. His absence could open up a chance for Tyrion Davis-Price's first start of the season.
Mitchell has only handled 16 carries so far this season, taking them for 52 yards on the ground. Christian McCaffrey has been one of the most heavily-utilized backs in the league this season, leaving very few openings for other players in San Francisco's backfield.
