Pat Freiermuth (hamstring) 'very doubtful' for Steelers
Pittsburgh Steelers tight end Pat Freiermuth (hamstring) is "very doubtful" for Week 5 against the Baltimore Ravens, per head coach Mike Tomlin.
Freiermuth is reportedly expected to miss 2-3 weeks with the hamstring injury he suffered in the Steelers' Week 4 loss to the Houston Texans. 2023 third-round pick Darnell Washington and Connor Heyward played the other tight end snaps in Sunday's loss to the Houston Texans, but everyone on the Steelers offense is a hard sell right now, especially the backup tight ends.
Washington played 25 snaps in Week 4 and hauled in his only target for 10 yards. Heyward logged 15 snaps and wasn't targeted. They are both outside the top-20 tight ends in numberFire's Week 5 rankings. The Ravens have only given up 99 scoreless yards and 18.1 total FanDuel points to tight ends this season.
