Colts' Jonathan Taylor (ankle) officially designated to return
Indianapolis Colts running back Jonathan Taylor (ankle) has been designated to return from injured reserve.
Taylor is expected to participate in practice on Wednesday and the Colts now have a 21-day window to add him to the active roster. According to Dan Graziano of ESPN, Taylor still doesn't want to play for the Colts and the team remains uninterested in offering him a long-term deal, so his status is uncertain for Week 5 against the Tennessee Titans on Sunday. Zack Moss could remain involved, but he will take a significant hit if Taylor suits up for the Colts.
Moss racked up a whopping 66 carries over the last three weeks and registered an 85.7% offensive snap share. numberFire's models currently project Taylor for 8.8 and Moss for 10.3 carries in Week 5. The Titans are allowing the fifth-fewest FanDuel points per game to running backs and their run defense is fourth-best in numberFire’s opponent-adjusted NEP model.
