Amon-Ra St. Brown (abdomen) sitting out again Friday for Lions
Detroit Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown (abdomen) will not practice again on Friday, per head coach Dan Campbell.
St. Brown sat out practice all week and appears unlikely to play Week 5 against the Carolina Panthers, but Campbell said the Lions will know more about his status on Saturday. If St. Brown is inactive on Sunday, there will be more targets available for Jameson Williams in his season debut. That would also create more potential opportunities on offense for Sam LaPorta, Jahmyr Gibbs, Josh Reynolds, and Kalif Raymond.
ARSB has drawn the 12th-most targets in the NFL (35) and he leads the Lions with a 28.2% target share. The Panthers are allowing the fifth-fewest FanDuel points per game to receivers because they've been getting gashed on the ground, but their pass defense is 19th in our schedule-adjusted NEP model.
