Chiefs' Travis Kelce (ankle) a non-participant in Monday walkthrough for Week 6
The Kansas City Chiefs listed Travis Kelce (ankle) as non-participant in their Monday walkthrough ahead of their Week 6 game against the Denver Broncos on Thursday Night Football.
Kelce suffered what appeared to be a scary ankle injury during the Chiefs' Week 5 win over the Minnesota Vikings, but was somehow able to play through the injury and finish out the game. The team did not actually practice on Monday ahead of their Thursday night game, though they estimated that Kelce would not have participated if they had practiced. We'll need to monitor his situation closely over the next few days.
Kelce has now dealt with multiple injuries so far this season, so it wouldn't be too surprising if the reigning Super Bowl champions hold their star tight end out of Thursday's game on a short week. The veteran has caught 27 passes in his 4 games for 222 yards and 3 touchdowns.
