David Njoku (burns) day-to-day for Browns ahead of Week 6
The Cleveland Browns consider tight end David Njoku (burns) to be day-to-day ahead of their Week 6 game against the San Francisco 49ers.
What It Means:
Njoku reportedly suffered burns to his face and arms in a household accident just before the team's Week 4 game against the Baltimore Ravens, but was somehow able to suit up for that contest despite the training staff's concerns about his ability to comfortably wear a helmet. After a week off, Njoku seems to be trending towards playing in Week 6.
Njoku has a breakout 2022 campaign, but has been inconsistent due to starting quarterback Deshaun Watson's struggles so far in 2023. With Watson (shoulder) up in the air for next Sunday, Njoku's fantasy value could be highly volatile. We currently have him projected for just 5.1 fantasy points against the 49ers.
