Chicago's Khalil Herbert (ankle) placed on injured reserve

Chicago Bears running back Khalil Herbert (ankle) has been placed on injured reserve.

What It Means:

After some consideration, Chicago has decided to place Herbert on injured reserve, sidelining him for at least the next four games. For Week 6, D'Onta Foreman is expected to see increased carries with rookie Roschon Johnson (concussion) also ruled out. Looking ahead, Johnson could be in line for a larger workload once he clears protocol. The Bears face the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 7.

The Bears are 3.0-point udnerdoghs against the Vikings in Week 6. Their implied team total of 20.25 points is the eighth-lowest team total on Sunday's main slate, according to numberFire's DFS Heat Map.
