Jets' Mecole Hardman traded back to Chiefs
Former New York Jets wide receiver Mecole Hardman has been traded to the Kansas City Chiefs, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Hardman began his career in Kansas City before signing with the Jets in free agency this summer on a one-year $4 million contract. Through five games in New York, he recorded just one reception on three targets for six yards. Now he will rejoin the Chiefs, along with a 2025 seventh-round pick, in exchange for a 2025 sixth-round pick from Kansas City. According to Schefter, Xavier Gipson made Hardman expendable in New York.
In eight games for Kansas City last season, Hardman caught 25 of 34 targets for 297 yards and 4 touchdowns.
