Saquon Barkley (ankle) limited at Giants first practice
New York Giants running back Saquon Barkley (ankle) was limited at Wednesday's practice for Week 9 against the Las Vegas Raiders.
Barkley is typically limited at practice with some sort of ailment, but the Giants are likely just managing his reps in the middle of the season. He rushed 36 times for 128 yards and caught 3 passes (5 targets) for 0 yards in last Sunday's 13-10 overtime loss to the New York Jets. The rushing totals were both season-highs.
Saquon is the third-highest running back in numberFire's Week 9 rankings and our models project him for 16.7 FanDuel points, with 20.0 carries, 82.8 rushing yards, 4.2 receptions, and 24.4 receiving yards. The Raiders are allowing the fourth-most FanDuel points per game to running backs and their run defense ranks second-worst in numberFire's opponent-adjusted NEP model.
