Dameon Pierce (ankle) officially out Week 9 for Texans
Houston Texans running back Dameon Pierce (ankle) is officially out for Week 9 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday.
Pierce will miss his first game of the season after sitting out practice all week. Devin Singletary will lead the Texans' backfield on Sunday and Mike Boone will be more involved. Singletary split work with Pierce last week and finished with 12 touches for 43 yards.
The Bucs are allowing the fifth-fewest FanDuel points per game to running backs and their run defense ranks third-best in numberFire's opponent-adjusted NEP model. Singletary is now the RB11 in our Week 9 rankings and we project him for 12.8 FanDuel points, with 17.3 carries, 78.7 rushing yards, 1.9 receptions, and 12.3 receiving yards.
