Matthew Stafford (thumb) ruled out for Rams in Week 9; Brett Rypien to start
Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford will not play Sunday in the team's Week 9 game against the Green Bay Packers.
Stafford missed practice during the week due to an injury to the thumb on his throwing hand. He entered the weekend as a game-time call, but reports late Saturday expressed the veteran was unlikely to take the field. It'll be Brett Rypien who starts under center, with practice squad call-up Dresser Winn serving as the backup in place.
Our models project Rypien for 215.6 passing yards, 0.9 touchdowns, 1.0 interceptions and 12.4 FanDuel points. He has a $6,300 salary on FanDuel.
