Rams' Matthew Stafford (thumb) expected to play in Week 11
Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay said Monday that he anticipates having quarterback Matthew Stafford (thumb) available for the team's Week 11 game against the Seattle Seahawks.
Stafford was unable to play through his thumb injury in the Rams' final game before their Week 10 bye, but it sounds like the veteran passer should be able to suit up against the Seahawks next weekend; per McVay, Stafford was able to throw the ball in individual drills in practice earlier today. The team signed journeyman quarterback Carson Wentz during their bye week as a precaution, but it looks like they won't necessarily need him this week.
Stafford could be set up for fantasy success in the second half of the year, assuming his throwing-arm-thumb is healthy enough. The team's duo of Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua is a strong tandem at receiver, giving Stafford multiple legitimate options to target for the first time since Odell Beckham's healthy games with the team. He could enter the top 10 fantasy quarterback conversation in Week 11 with a nice matchup against the Seahawks.
