Dameon Pierce (ankle) returns to Texans practice Friday
Houston Texans running back Dameon Pierce (ankle) returned to practice on Friday for Week 11 against the Arizona Cardinals.
Pierce missed the first two practices of the week and it remains to be seen if he will be able to return from his two-game absence. Devin Singletary is expected to lead the Texans' backfield either way, but Pierce's return would cut into his hefty workload. He rushed 30 times for a career-high 150 yards and a touchdown in last week's 30-27 win over the Cincinnati Bengals. Mike Boone played 14 snaps and was targeted three times.
Singletary is the RB11 in numberFire's Week 11 rankings with Pierce inactive. Our models project him for 13.6 FanDuel points, with 17.0 carries, 76.4 rushing yards, 2.2 receptions, and 13.9 receiving yards. The Cardinals are allowing the third-most FanDuel points per game to running backs this season and their run defense ranks sixth-worst in our opponent-adjusted NEP model.
