Vikings' Alexander Mattison (ankle) misses second straight practice ahead of Week 16
Minnesota Vikings running back Alexander Mattison (ankle) did not practice on Thursday ahead of the team's Week 16 game against the Detroit Lions.
Mattison is trending in the wrong direction for Sunday's game against the Lions, but still has one more chance to return to practice this week before the team has to make a decision on his status. It sounds like the Vikings have already decided to let Ty Chandler handle lead back duties going forward after the second-year back's strong outing last week, but Mattison should still see work when he returns to the field.
If he can suit up, our models would project Mattison for 5.7 FanDuel points in a split backfield with Chandler. He has a $5,800 salary on FanDuel. If he can't paly, Chandler could become one of the top plays at the running back position in Week 16.
