Carson Wentz likely to be healthy inactive for Eagles
Philadelphia Eagles rookie quarterback Carson Wentz would be a healthy inactive if the season started today, head coach Doug Pederson said.
Most teams dress only two quarterbacks on game day and Wentz appears to be a distant third behind starter Sam Bradford and highly-paid Chase Daniel. Jimmy Kempski of Philly Voice believes the best-case scenario is for Bradford to have a strong season so the Eagles could flip him for a draft pick in 2017. We still would not rule out Wentz making starts late this season, specifically if the Eagles fall out of the playoff hunt.
Our algorithms project Wentz for 1,125 passing yards, 5.93 touchdowns and 4.60 interceptions on 161 attempts this year, with 16 rushes for 66 yards and 0.63 touchdowns on the ground. He's our 33rd-best fantasy quarterback going into training camp.
