Brandon Bolden may lose Patriots' roster spot to Tyler Gaffney
New England Patriots running back Brandon Bolden is "in danger" of losing his roster spot to Tyler Gaffney, Ben Volin of the Boston Globe believes.
Gaffney overtaking Bolden is more feasible than previous reports, which had him unseating Blount. Gaffney has been the better performer than special-teamer Bolden this preseason with 95 yards and a touchdown on 20 carries. The Patriots may elect to keep both players if Dion Lewis (ACL) begins the year on reserve/PUP.
Neither will be major fantasy factors this year, as Bolden checks in at 92nd among fantasy running backs in our preseason projections. We believe he'll pick up 138 all-purpose yards and 0.69 touchdowns on 31 total touches.
