Panthers have concerns about Jonathan Stewart (hamstring) for Week 3
The Carolina Panthers have "a little concern" over running back Jonathan Stewart (hamstring, ankle), head coach Ron Rivera said.
Stewart left Sunday's game in the first quarter and didn't return. He's dealing with multiple injuries, putting his Week 3 status in doubt. The Panthers are expected to activate Cameron Artis-Payne if Stewart misses time, but Fozzy Whittaker had a strong showing off the bench and should be favored to start.
Stewart had -1.21 Net Expected Points (NEP) on five carries prior to his exit, per numberFire Live. On 16 attempts at the end of the half, Whittaker had accrued -2.76 NEP.
