Patriots planning on Dion Lewis (knee) returning Week 10
New England Patriots running back Dion Lewis (knee, PUP) is expected to return for Week 10 against the Seattle Seahawks.
Lewis probably would have been available Week 9 had the Patriots not been on bye. He returned to the practice field last Thursday and is expected to slide back into his passing-down role in New England's offense. It's been almost a full calendar year since he played in an NFL game, but he's believed to be back to 100 percent after undergoing two knee surgeries. LeGarrette Blount's workload is likely secure, but James White is headed for a significant cutback.
Assuming he plays the final eight games of the regular season, our models project him to rush 104 times for 428 yards and 3.14 touchdowns while adding another 23 catches for 182 yards and 0.91 touchdowns through the air.
