Texans declare Tom Savage (illness) inactive for Week 13
The Houston Texans declared quarterback Tom Savage (illness) inactive for Week 13 against the Green Bay Packers.
Savage is reportedly inactive because of an infection in his throwing arm which required antibiotics. Brandon Weeden will back up starter Brock Osweiler in Green Bay. This report raises questions about Savage's availability moving forward. There were rumblings Savage could take over for Osweiler if the starter continued to struggle. Osweiler is unlikely to be benched if Weeden is the only other option.
Our algorithms project Osweiler for 206 passing yards, 1.29 touchdowns, and 0.54 interceptions on 30 attempts this week. He's at best a lackluster QB2 option in fantasy leagues this week.
