Doug Martin is still Buccaneers' primary running back for Week 14
Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Doug Martin is still the "primary" running back heading into Week 14 against the New Orleans Saints, the Tampa Bay Times' Greg Auman believes.
Martin sat out the final three drives of last week's win over the Chargers, but Martin practiced on Wednesday and is fine. Offensive coordinator Todd Monken said Jacquizz Rodgers has earned an "expanded role" after his Week 13 performance, but we doubt that actually translates to a huge workload increase. Charles Sims (knee) is also expected to be activated off injured reserve in time for Sunday's game, so touches will be spread even thinner (though most of his will come through the air). Martin remains a strong RB2 with a floor of around 15 carries in a good matchup.
Our models project Martin for 63 rushing yards and 0.31 touchdowns on 16 carries, as well as 24 receiving yards on 3 catches. He's our 22nd-best running back for fantasy this week.
