Giants may increase Paul Perkins' role
New York Giants running back Paul Perkins' role should be "even greater" the rest of the season, ESPN reporter Jordan Raanan said.
Over the past four games, Perkins and Rashad Jennings have essentially split the work. Jennings out-carried the rookie 18-11 last week, but Perkins was able to do far more damage on his runs, totaling 56 yards to Jennings' 38. Perkins clearly brings the offense a bit more life, but head coach Ben McAdoo appears to trust Jennings more.
There are 64 running backs through Week 15 with at least 50 rushing attempts. Perkins has a -0.05 Rushing Net Expected Points (NEP) per attempt, ranking 42nd, and Jennings' -0.13 ranks 54th.
