Giants won't have Janoris Jenkins (back) for Thursday Night Football
New York Giants defensive back Janoris Jenkins (back) will be inactive for Thursday's game against the Philadelphia Eagles.
The Giants can afford to let Jenkins sit against an Eagles team without any serious downfield threat to account for. He'll be well-rested for the Week 17 regular season finale against the Washington Redskins on January 1. With Jenkins out, rookie Eli Apple will see more reps.
The Giants' defense ranks fifth in schedule-adjusted Defensive Passing Net Expected Points allowed per play going into Thursday night's matchup. Jenkins has three interceptions and a sack through four games this season.
