Ben Roethlisberger talks about retirement from Steelers
Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger said in a radio interview that he will "take some time" to "consider all options" this offseason.
"To consider health, and family and things like that and just kind of take some time away to evaluate next season, if there’s going to be a next season," Roethlisberger said. Head coach Mike Tomlin said he is taking the comments seriously, but he is not alarmed or surprised by the notion, as this is not the first time he has heard Roethlisberger talk about retirement. Ben has taken a beating during his 13 seasons in the NFL, but he is only 34.
Among the 39 quarterbacks with at least 100 drop backs this season, Roethlisberger ranked seventh in Passing Net Expected Points (NEP) per drop back.
