Titans again state that DeMarco Murray is the 'workhorse'
Tennessee Titans running back DeMarco Murray remains the team's "workhorse," head coach Mike Mularkey reiterated on Tuesday.
This is the same thing Mularkey said last month, but that shouldn't preclude rising sophomore Derrick Henry from seeing a larger workload than the one he saw last year. Murray, now 29, averaged only 3.5 yards per carry (YPC) over the final six games in 2016, compared to 4.9 YPC through the first 10.
Murray posted 0.02 Rushing Net Expected Points per attempt on 293 totes last year, which was 15th among the 42 running backs to carry the ball at least 100 times. Henry finished 13th.
