Dolphins' Jarvis Landry 'at peace' with contract
Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jarvis Landry said that he is "at peace" with his contract and "when it comes for [him] to get paid, [he'll] get paid."
Landry has been back-and-forth regarding a contract extension with the Dolphins. Some have even suggested he hold out. But the productive fourth-year receiver will play out the last season of his contract for roughly $1.1 million. In his last two seasons in Miami, Landry has totaled 204 receptions, 2,293 yards and eight touchdowns on 297 targets.
After having his first game postponed due to Hurricane Irma, Landry will look to make a statement in his Week 2 matchup with the Los Angeles Chargers. He'll likely go up against corner Jason Verrett, who we expect to hold Landry to 5.2 catches, 61.0 yards, 0.39 touchdowns and 11.1 FanDuel points. This week, he costs $6,500 and is the top projected target for new quarterback Jay Cutler.
