Washington's Samaje Perine still projected to run behind Rob Kelley in Week 3
Washington Redskins rookie running back Samaje Perine is projected to see less carries than Rob Kelley in Week 3 against the Oakland Raiders, according to numberFire's models.
Perine saw 21 carries in Week 2 after Kelley left with a rib injury, but if the incumbent is active on Sunday, we expect him to remain atop Washington's backfield depth chart. The fourth-round rookie finished with an underwhelming 67 yards, but it will be difficult to even match that production on a lighter workload versus the Raiders in Week 3.
numberFire's models project Perine to score 6.6 FanDuel points at a cost of $5,600 in Week 3 while rushing 6.9 times for 28.5 yards and 0.24 touchdowns, tying him as the RB45 in our weekly fantasy rankings. Kelley, meanwhile, is pegged for 13.8 carries and is the RB13 for Week 3.
