Giants' Paul Perkins (ribs) practicing on Wednesday
New York Giants running back Paul Perkins (ribs) is practicing on Wednesday.
Perkins was diagnosed with bruised ribs after making an early exit in Week 4, and practicing already is a good sign that he will suit up for Week 5's meeting with the Los Angeles Chargers. Perkins has been horribly inefficient this season, with a -0.29 Rushing Net Expected Points per carry mark that ranks dead-last among the 50 backs with at least 20 carries this season, and this injury may open the door for Wayne Gallman to see some increased work after he rushed 11 times for 42 yards in Week 4.
numberFire's models project Perkins for 28.9 yards and 0.1 touchdowns on 7.4 carries against the Chargers on Sunday. He is our 40th-ranked fantasy running back for Week 5.
