Kevin Hogan named Browns' starting quarterback for Week 6
Cleveland Browns head coach Hue Jackson announced quarterback Kevin Hogan will start Week 6 against the Houston Texans.
DeShone Kizer has been pulled from the last two games and he has now been officially benched. "This does not change the way we feel about DeShone going forward," Jackson said. "He has worked extremely hard and still very much has a bright future. Right now, it's better for him and his development to back up Kevin." Hogan has looked good in limited relief work over the last two weeks, but those have come in garbage time. He'll get a shot at his first NFL start against the Texans in Week 6.
Before being named the starter, our models projected Hogan to come in relief of Kizer again in Week 6, posting 116.7 passing yards, 0.6 touchdowns and 0.5 interceptions against Houston.
