Colts' Chuck Pagano: Marlon Mack not ready for significant role
Indianapolis Colts coach Chuck Pagano said that rookie running back Marlon Mack is not prepared for an every-down or third-down role, according to WTHR's Bob Kravitz.
Last week, Mack ran for 91 yards and a score on nine rushes, while he added an additional two yards on one catch through the air. But Pagano doesn't want to give the rookie too much work after he missed time due to injury. He will probably see more snaps and touches in the future, but will probably remain behind Frank Gore as the Colts' lead back.
On a projected 7.3 rushes, we expect Mack to return 34.1 rush yards, 0.19 touchdowns and 8.3 FanDuel points against the Tennessee Titans. In his backup role, he costs $5,600 in Week 6.
