49ers name C.J. Beathard starting quarterback
San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan named quarterback C.J. Beathard the starting quarterback moving forward.
The rookie 3rd round pick from Iowa looked solid in Week 6, throwing 19-for-36, with 245 passing yards, 1 touchdown, and 1 pick against the Redskins. He almost led his team back to upset the Redskins, and with the way Brian Hoyer had been playing, that was enough for Shanahan to name Beathard the starter moving forward. He'll be under center in Week 7 against the Dallas Cowboys
Our early projections have Beathard with 222.6 passing yards, 1.2 touchdowns, and 1.0 interceptions in Week 7. That's a net of 15.1 FanDuel points against the Cowboys.
