Bills' Jordan Matthews (thumb) still not catching passes with injured hand
Buffalo Bills wide receiver Jordan Matthews (thumb) said he has yet to catch passes with his surgically-repaired hand.
Matthews received thumb surgery on his right hand at the beginning of the month and remains unable to use it to catch passes, although he has been doing some work with tennis balls and was spotted making one-handed snags with his left hand. Despite head coach Sean McDermott referring to Matthews as day-to-day, it seems unlikely he plays against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 7.
numberFire's models currently expect Matthews to remain sidelined until Week 12. From there, we project him for 36.2 targets, 23.3 receptions, 314.0 yards, and 2.37 touchdowns for the season.
