Lions' Golden Tate (shoulder) expected to miss a few weeks
Detroit Lions wide receiver Golden Tate (shoulder) is expected to miss "a few weeks" according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
Tate and the Lions are still awaiting the results of an MRI, which will give a better idea of exactly how much time he will miss. The good news is Detroit is one a bye this week, giving Tate an extra week to heal. If Kenny Golladay can return in Week 8 he figures to be the primary beneficiary.
In six games this season Tate has hauled in 36 receptions for 363 yards and 2 touchdowns.
