Cardinals' Adrian Peterson (neck) placed on injured reserve
Arizona Cardinals running back Adrian Peterson is done for the year due to a neck injury.
Peterson experienced a bit of a resurgence with the Cardinals this season, topping 100 yards in two of his first three games following his trade form New Orleans. But he still averaged less than two yards in half of his games with the Cardinals and has not played since a neck injury popped up after Week 12. Now he will officially miss the remaining two games and it's safe to wonder whether we will see him in the NFL again. Kerwynn Williams has 18.5 touches over the past 2 games and will be expected to carry the load for the Cardinals going forward.
In 10 games this season, Peterson averaged 15.6 carries for 52.9 yards and 0.2 touchdowns.
