Patriots believe Rex Burkhead has a sprained knee
ESPN's Adam Schefter reports Rex Burkhead has avoided an ACL tear and serious knee injury. Meanwhile, the team believes their running back has suffered a sprained knee.
What It Means:
Burkhead is also reportedly dealing with a bruise. An MRI on Monday will confirm the diagnosis, but a sprained knee would match reports from Sunday of Burkhead avoiding a serious injury. Either way, he is likely done for the regular season.
