Hunter Henry's season over as Chargers place him on IR with lacerated kidney
Los Angeles Chargers tight end Hunter Henry (lacerated kidney) was placed on Injured Reserve on Tuesday, ending his 2017 season.
Henry suffered the injury on a blindside hit in the fourth quarter of Saturday night's 30-13 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. The tight end had an up-and-down season, catching 3 or fewer passes in 6 games while posting career-highs in receiving yards and catches. Antonio Gates figures to see an uptick in work the last two games of the season.
Henry finished the year with 45 catches, 579 yards, and 4 touchdowns.
